Oana (BA University of Bucharest, Faculty of Philosophy, MA, PhD CEU Budapest), holds a PhD in Political Science from Central European University, in Budapest. She received her MA in Political Science from the same university and her BA in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest.
In her PhD dissertation she investigated the relevance of political discussion within personal social networks for individual political behavior and knowledge. Her main research interests are political communication and behavior, deliberative democracy and practices, and quantitative research methods.
Oana Lup has worked as a researcher in various European-funded projects and excellence networks: INTUNE, CONNEX, and Civicactive. She participated in several important conferences and was a fellow of prestigious research centers, such as EUROLAB in Cologne and ECASS in Essex. She has recently published a chapter in the Routledge edited book “Political Discussion in Modern Democracies: A comparative perspective” (http://www.routledge.com/books/details/9780415548458/).
