Median Research Centre (MRC) is an independent organization that aims to contribute to improvements in the quality of democracy and governance.
We value curiosity and rigour in a relentless desire to pursue systematic inquiries into pressing issues of contemporary societies. We use state-of-the-art research theories and methods and try to bring the stock of knowledge in social sciences to a wider public and find real world applications.
We design applications and different online tools in order to facilitate the access of the wider public to research based knowledge and different points of view on numerous topics.
The events we organise are mainly focused on bringing external expertise and best practices from top researchers and debating their application in the local context and also on engaging young people to take notice and react to topics or situations related to democratic values.
We run projects that benefit from the involvement of young researchers, of Romanian origin or with research interests in Romanian politics and society. Our team is made up of researchers, professors and experts that have been educated in top Western universities and have worked in universities in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, the United Kingdom and the USA.
