Bori holds a PhD in Social Politics from University of Oxford and her main research interest is in the field of family policies and their micro-level implications in the post-socialist Central and Eastern Europe.
Her areas of expertise are mixed economy of care and the informality of the labor market, critical analysis of family policies, comparative analysis of the social policies, gendered analysis of the transformation of post-socialist welfare states, but also inequity and social exclusion in post-socialist Central and Eastern Europe.
For MRC, Borbála writes and commissions empirically informed analyses on Romanian social policy changes and their implications for individuals, society and the welfare state. Her main area of expertise is family policy and the cash benefit system, but she has also worked on poverty and housing.
